RECAP: West Coast Symphony Orchestra's 50th Anniversary Old Spanish Days Fiesta Concert was Sunday August 7th in the historic Santa Barbara County Courthouse Sunken Gardens
Celebrating Santa Barbara's Old Spanish Days Fiesta, the West Coast Symphony Orchestra presented it's 50th Anniversary free Fiesta concert under the Great Arch on 4pm Sunday, August 7th 2016 in the historic Santa Barbara County Courthouse Sunken Gardens. The West Coast Ballet treated guests to a performance on the Noches de Ronda stage beforehand. Under the direction of conductors Christopher Story VI and Dr. Michael Shasberger, the 4pm orchestra concert featured music with a Spanish flair including Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol; Pirates of the Caribbean; Suite No.'s 1 and 2 from Georges Bizet's opera Carmen including Les Toréadors and Dance Bohème; and the Farandole from L'Arlesienne Suite No. 2
